Who we are

James Gornall trading as The Dog Geezer provides dog walking, training and adventure-day enquiries for owners around Heywood, Rochdale, Middleton and Bury.

What we collect

Our enquiry form asks for your chosen service, name, postcode or area, email address, and a message about your dog and the help you need. Please do not include sensitive personal information. If you call or email James directly, we keep the details you share so we can reply.

Why we collect it

We use your details to respond to your request, assess suitability and availability, and organise walking, training and adventure enquiries. We do this to take steps at your request before agreeing a service, and for our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and preventing spam. We may send an enquiry confirmation by email; a confirmation email is not guaranteed.

Where it is stored

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Enquiries are stored in Google Sheets. If you provide an email address, your enquiry and any submitted questionnaire answers are also stored in a dedicated Cloudflare database and synced to The Dog Geezer’s separate HubSpot account. Email communications are handled through AgentMail and Gmail. These providers process information to operate the enquiry service. We do not sell your enquiry details.

Free puppy downloads

If you ask for our free puppy PDFs, we collect your email address, the PDFs you chose and whether you ticked the box to receive puppy tips and news. We use your email address to send the download links you asked for, which work for 30 days. Your request is stored in our Cloudflare database and added to The Dog Geezer’s HubSpot account, and the email is sent through AgentMail.

We only send you puppy tips and news if you ticked that box, and we keep a record of the wording you agreed to and when. This is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing thedoggeezer@gmail.com. If you didn’t tick the box, we won’t send you marketing emails.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to manage the enquiry, provide the service, keep reasonable business records, or meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to or request restriction of its use. Where applicable, you can also request a portable copy. Contact James using the details below. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Website storage and external links

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Personal questionnaire links create an essential secure session cookie lasting up to eight hours to associate submitted answers with your enquiry. Questionnaire answers are saved only when you press the final submit button, not after each step. The questionnaire asks about your dog, routine, service preference and relevant handling considerations; it does not confirm a booking or subscribe you to marketing. External websites have their own privacy terms.
